When processing leather for high-quality car interior decoration the cover parts of seat and back-rest components, arm-rests, head-rests etc. are joined with close-to-the-edge seams. In order to guarantee uniform margins and congruent fabric edges in case of these so-called "narrow margins" both material plies are simultaneously equalized by trimming during the sewing process. The special version of the medium-weight lockstitch machine 767-VF-573 with solid edge trimmer has been modified for particularly narrow trimming margins and realizes especially accurate trimming results. In order to counteract the frequent and cost-intensive bibbin change when processing large-sized workpieces the 767-VF-573 is equipped with an XXL-hook the bobbin thread capacity of which has been increased by 70%.
